Profit of sharing is 50%

Study conducted by KCSL

Tree

KCSL followed up on TDA’s “Profit of sharing up to 50%” article, by undertaking a detailed study involving 15 translators to objectively review:

  • the quality of translations
  • reductions in times required to perform post-editing
  • actual machine translations that were generated from the available data

Five scenarios were analyzed. These ranged from human translation only to Total leveraging using KCSL’s NoBabel Enhancer tool with merged data from 5 TDA members.

The best results in terms of translation quality, cost reductions and productivity increases (50%) were achieved using merged data from TDA members.
