The global industry's translation memories and glossaries are brought together in the Language Data Exchange Portal, a high quality, open, legal, and secure language database for the benefit of all.
The Language Data Exchange Portal works on the principle of reciprocity; members store an agreed amount of language data in the platform and in return gain access to the translation memories and glossaries of the wider industry.
The data is organized by industry domain, company, product line and language pairs, enabling members to conveniently search and retrieve memories and glossaries whether the aim is to research terminology, access specific language sets or train machine translation engines.
TM Sharing allows members to upload parallel language data (i.e. glossaries and translation memories) for hosting and sharing with other TDA members.

TM Sharing can be as an alternative to distributed and local storage and maintenance of TM databases, or as an additional service aimed at gaining global reach and optimizing translation efficiency and management flexibility.
Data Pooling enables members to download parallel language data. Selections of language data can be made on the basis of language pair, industry taxonomy and a private index.
Data Pooling can be used for collaboration and sharing of translation memories in a ‘classical' single client - multiple translators model, or it can be used to create larger pools of language data to train machine translation engines, do advanced leveraging, terminology mining or develop other new services.
